Mozilla's latest browser release is indeed as the title says, smarter, safer and faster. The latest version 3.6 offers users faster webpage loading, updates of older plug-ins, as well as support for HTML5 and new CSS elements.
New Tab Management
Using the integrated Personas extension users can personalise the look of their Firefox browser with whatever takes your fancy, with a wide range of presets and skins to choose from. Firefox has also modified the tabbed browsing option allowing individual tabs to be pulled out of one browser window and thrown into a new/other window, and have also heightened security protection via the plug-in check. Other extensions also include the support of Ogg-Theora videos in full screen mode, which now also support WOFF fonts and new about-dialogues.
Private Surfing
Another thing to note has to be the optimised data protection and internet GPS. Play your sites' video and audio content with more ease with no external plug-ins necessary.The private surfing mode allows you to browse the net without keeping track of which sites have been visited.By clicking on "Delete latest history" users can confidently delete their browsing history over a fixed period of time.
Improved bookmark admin
Bookmarks can now be saved quicker than ever by clicking on the star in the URL search bar. A second click opens the menu for categorising, editing and retagging your desired bookmark.
Intelligent address bar
The Intelligente Adressleiste allows users to search the web directly in the URL search bar for key words, offering possible matches in a predictive text-esque manner. Firefox also enters a list of most-visted sites as quick select options in the bookmarks folder, allowing you to get to where you want a lot faster.Other imporvements also include a limitless zooming option of webpages' text and pictures, as well as a new and improved anti-phishing filter.
Faster than ever
The exclusion of mail client HTML editor and IRC client ensure that this latest Mozilla release is positively faster. Firefox does however offer an integrated download manager which by no ways slows its performance down and is a very practical addition to the palette of standard extras, such as changing web sites' font size via the CTRL + and CTRL - short cut.
